If we receive your submission (online entry form plus evidence files) by the ‘early-bird’ date of 15th October 2010, the RSC SE will provide any necessary advice on how to improve your entry, allowing you to resubmit enhancements before the final deadline of 17th December 2010.
As with last year’s awards, winners and runners-up will not be announced until the Awards Ceremony and Dinner, which will take place on 8th March 2011 and will be held once again at the prestigious Vincent Rooms, part of Westminster Kingsway College in London.
Categories
The Hi5 eLearning Awards are presented in five categories:
- Innovation
- Assessment
- Technical Infrastructure
- Learning Support
- Widening Participation
Entries within each category are further subdivided into Beginner Level or Advanced Level. Prizes and certificates are awarded to the Winner and Runner-Up in each category at each level - making a total of 20 awards in all.
NB Judges reserve the right to re-categorise entries and/or change levels where necessary.
Eligibility
Submissions are open to any organisation supported by the JISC RSC South East covering FE, HE, ACL, WBL and Specialist College sectors. Individuals can nominate themselves, another individual or a team for a Hi5 eLearning Award and for each submission the Nominator will be the main contact between the organisation and the RSC SE.
Multiple submissions from organisations, individuals and/or teams are allowed. Projects submitted for last year’s Hi5 eLearning Awards may be resubmitted for the 2011 scheme provided they did not receive a Winner’s or Runner’s Up Award.
Judging Criteria
Submissions will be judged on the evidence files supplied combined with the answers provided to the following two questions in the online entry form:
- Please indicate how your project has made a positive impact on teaching and learning (up to approx 200 words)
- Please describe how your project has benefited your organisation (up to approx 200 words)
NB Please note that the description provided when completing the online entry form is simply a summary and will only be used for dissemination purposes for the judges and community at large. Do not rely on this description for evidence.
