Is Twitter Twaddle?

Thinking about Twitter? Wonder why politicians, conferences, businesses and other colleges, training providers universities and schools use it? Is Twitter really just a load of Twaddle? .
This event will demonstrate:
- How Twitter can be used to support teaching and learning both inside the classroom and for remote learning groups
- How it can help with class communication and peer support on a course
- How, as a business, you can use it for improving your marketing opportunities within the community
- How other educational organisations are engaged with it
All attendees will leave the event with a CD containing all the links and resources mentioned.
Course Requirement
One pre-requisite for attending the event is to have a Twitter Account. It only takes two minutes to create a Twitter account at http://twitter.com and requires no more information to get started other than a chosen user name and password plus an email address (you do not receive spam on this email account).
The very best way to understand if Twitter is of any value is to use it. On booking for this event, you will be sent an email explaining how to use your Twitter account to ‘tune in’ to extra pre-event information which will be sent out on Twitter...in the same way you could choose to provide pre-course information for your own students and local community.
